    •    Case: 40 mm platinum (950); elegant stepped bezel; display back. Approx. thickness ~10.5 mm.  

    •    Indications: Central hours/minutes, large instantaneous date, power‑reserve, moon‑phase on tinted/sapphire disc, and small seconds by rotating disc, laid out for maximum legibility in the post‑2016 “Nouvelle” design.   
    
•    Movement: In‑house calibre 1300.3 (automatic), plates/bridges in 18‑carat rose gold with a 22 k guilloché rotor; 120 h of chronometric precision (≈5 days), designed for long autonomy.

The “Grainé” Dial Finish

One of the Octa Divine’s most distinctive traits is its grainy dial texture. F.P.Journe achieves this effect through a meticulous hand-graining process on a solid gold dial blank, followed by a light silvering treatment. Rather than opting for a smooth or lacquered surface, Journe chose this traditional grainé technique because it both diffuses light softly and provides a tactile depth under different angles. The result is a dial that feels alive: sometimes matte and understated, sometimes shimmering with subtle sparkle depending on how light falls across it.

This artisanal process is labor-intensive each dial is individually prepared and brushed in multiple directions, then treated so that the surface permanently retains its slightly rough texture. It contrasts beautifully with the polished steel sub-dial rings (a patented Journe detail), creating a layered and architectural look that is instantly recognizable among collectors.
