An excellent, near-mint Rolex Day-Date 1807 in 18k yellow gold with the deeply textured "bark" finish on bezel and centre bracelet links, fitted with the rare silver "Qaboos" pie-pan dial bearing the green Arabic signature of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman. Originally delivered by Rolex to Asprey in London for the Royal Palace in Oman, dials of this type were commissioned for presentation to dignitaries and close associates of the Sultan, placing this example among the most coveted of all signed Day-Dates.
