An icon of modern chronograph watchmaking, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 was the first Daytona to house Rolex's in-house Caliber 4130. This F-serial example from around 2004 shows the black dial with contrasting silver sub-dial rings that has become one of the most recognisable configurations in the sports Rolex lineup.

The 116520 marked a turning point for the Daytona when Rolex introduced its own chronograph movement in 2000, and this reference remained in production until 2016 before being replaced by the ceramic-bezel 116500LN.
